I have done many a program prior to this. And I have NEVER been this happy with the process and the current outcomes. In 3 months I have lost 10 pounds and about 3 inches in the waist and 2 in the hips. While I am beyond happy with where my body has come I am more happy with my mindset and my attitude towards my body. She lifts you up and gives the most encouraging words and guidance. The recipes are delicious and easy to follow. I genuinely look forward to each meal and I'm not starving at any point. She works with your grocery budget, avoids foods you hate and provides you the tools to make this sustainable!
I gained a deeper knowledge of my body, how much I was eating vs how much I really need, how food amount and timing affects my athletic performance, and how much easier muscle ups are when you weigh 10 pounds less...lol. My discipline was tested and strengthened after 3 months of eating in a deficit. My relationship with food has only gotten healthier and better. I dropped from 22% to 19% body fat and lost 12 pounds, sitting at the lightest I've been in 10 years.
My goal for the past couple years had been to qualify for the CrossFit Games — I knew all the pieces were coming together but my nutrition needed some help. I wanted to take all the thinking out of it and just train. I had no idea carbs are a good thing! In a very short period of time I went from feeling like I had an X-ray blanket on me to being energized throughout each day. I started hitting PRs on each lift and overall felt like a normal human being. Ended up qualifying for my first CrossFit Games and I know without a doubt there's no way it would have happened had I not used The Swole Kitchen.
They guided me in losing 20 pounds before my wedding. I was healthily losing around 2 pounds a week. And the best part was I wasn't working out a lot! They made it so sustainable and easy that it has just become a lifestyle change for me. Though I have been a little lazier over summer, I haven't put weight back on and I continue to have a support system who doesn't put me down when I get off track.
What surprised me the most about coaching was how many inches I lost instead of pounds. When I started I was very scale focused, but now I am more energized, I enjoy what I'm eating, and I feel confident going to the grocery store because before I didn't. While I was in a calorie deficit, I was eating more food and feeling fuller longer. I feel really happy about the overall experience and this was MUCH easier than doing it alone or through an online option only.
I have been working with Jocelyn for almost 9 months and have made so much progress. Not only do the customized meal plans take all of the thinking out of what I need nutrition to be, the customized grocery list makes everything easy. I have been doing CrossFit for 7 years and have made more progress in the past 9 months than I have in years. 10/10 would recommend.
I am a 35 YO mother of a teenage girl. I commute by ferry boat and bus 5 days a week to my job as a full time accountant & part time CrossFit Coach. To say the least, I am really really busy. She instantly identified that I was calorie deficit and said 'you are going to think I'm crazy but I'm increasing all your meals.' By the third week, I wasn't just seeing results, I had a daily routine that was easy to follow. Months later I still follow the weekly meal plans she provided me. I have not gained any of the weight back, I am the strongest I have ever been, and never feel fatigued.
I've been dieting on and off for 20 years, and this is the first program where I learned how to change my eating and exercise habits in a sustainable and impactful way. It's exciting to see body comp change occur through a process that actually gave me more energy, and in a way where I wasn't depriving myself of food. I'm excited about the results, but also excited that I've learned how to maintain the healthy habits going forward.
I began my journey with The Swole Kitchen unhappy with how I looked and felt in my day to day life. Through their program, I learned the importance of maintaining high activity levels alongside macronutrient tracking. My coach was incredibly supportive, helping me overcome challenges and stay motivated. Over the course of 3 months I lost 16lbs and I feel significantly better about my body and lifestyle now.
I had completed some nutrition coaching in the past that was good but Alix really took things to the next level for me. Her attention to detail was awesome! She really listened to what I needed and would adjust things based on how my body was functioning with my activities. The last 6 weeks of coaching I was on the road staying in hotels or in the field. She again came up with plans that allowed me to stay on track when I wasn't able to cook. Alix really taught me a lot of great lessons about nutrition, lessons that I'll take with me for the rest of my life.
Before working with The Swole Kitchen I had never had a nutrition coach. Since working with my coach I lost 13lbs (3% body fat overall), and found consistency in my meal prepping through following meal plans that catered to my preferences. My coach checked-in with me weekly via video calls, helped me stay on track during life events and even integrated book recommendations into our coaching for extended learning.
In coaching I was able to successfully increase strength while also seeing positive changes in my body composition with reduced body fat and more muscle tone. What surprised me about the personal training aspect was that I was able to, for once, actually increase weights past what I thought was possible. This boosted my confidence both in the gym and with my body. Even though I left coaching, I will take what I learned and continue to apply it.
I reached out when I was 3 months postpartum. I was breastfeeding and just watching the numbers on the scale go up. I wanted to cut body fat and build muscle all while breastfeeding and working out. I knew I was asking a lot from my body and I needed someone that knew what they were doing and would help me reach my goals in a healthy/safe way. Not only did she get me there physically, but mentally as well. Thank you for giving me my confidence back in my 'new' body after my baby!
My experience has been absolutely incredible. Jocelyn's coaching makes me believe she is genuinely invested in my progress and goals. The Macro Coaching is easy to follow and track, and the personal training for my workouts has been phenomenal. She is extremely knowledgeable, quick to respond to questions, and even corresponds with video to help me know exactly what to do. I am dropping weight and getting stronger. It's rare to have this level of coaching in an online format.
Best decision I've made in a while. Alix is so sweet, knowledgeable, approachable and encouraging. She has really turned my nutrition around. I'm fueling my body properly, full of energy, mental clarity, my skin looks clearer, PRing left and right, and I'm creating healthy long lasting habits. So thankful for the opportunity to work with The Swole Kitchen.
Meal plans were easy to follow and loved the grocery list. Still got check ins every week from coach Alix and I lost 10lbs in 5 weeks. So easy and amazing!! Saw results very quickly! My schedule is extremely busy and she worked with me and my schedule!
Extremely flexible — the weekly meal plans make it one less step to think about. The weekly check ins were great to talk about what was working and what things were still barriers. I learned so much in the process and I love that the goal is to become more independent and be able to continue to progress on your own. I have more energy and sleep better than I have in a long time. As someone who hated to cook when I started this, I am enjoying cooking more now that the food I am making tastes good and makes me feel good also.
I have done macro tracking previously and I know what I like to eat, so I figured this would be a great option for me. She is friendly, knowledgeable, and encouraging and is always there to support me or answer any questions I have. My PRs in the gym have gone up crazy amounts since I started working with this program, and as soon as my three months was up I immediately renewed.
I had no clue how to plan meals and eat enough to gain the muscle mass I was looking for. Working with my coach was amazing and she helped me get up to my goal weight. If you are looking for a personalized meal plan this is definitely the place to go to!
TSK and my coach did absolute wonders for me and my lifestyle with the guidance of coaching and meal plans. By the time I was ready to leave my coaching program, my coach had given me so much guidance that I now have the confidence and the knowledge to navigate tough situations and slip ups while staying on track. My coach never pressed an unrealistic expectation on me or made me feel like I was ever falling short on my worth due to my food tracking abilities.
