Healthy Options At Popular Restaurants

Eating out is a part of life and sometimes you’re going to find yourself in a bind. Below are some common places to eat out as well as a few recommended food/drink options that won’t bust your nutrition and keep you from your goals. We don’t recommend eating these foods often and do encourage sticking to your plan.

STARBUCKS

Food:
Oatmeal w/ nuts and dried fruit (opt-out of adding sugar) and have with a protein shake with water)
Quinoa & Chicken Protein Bowl w/ Black Beans & Greens
Sous Vide Egg Bites

Drink:
Grande Flat White w/ Almond Milk
Grande Salted Cream Cold Foam Cold Brew

PANDA EXPRESS:

Grilled Teriyaki Chicken & Super Greens

TEXAS ROADHOUSE:

Steak (or other non-fried meat)
Sweet Potato (do not get the toppings)
Vegetables

OLIVE GARDEN:

Herb-Grilled Salmon (add an extra side of veggies)

OUTBACK:

Wood-Fired Shrimp w/ BBQ sauce & plain sweet potato
Outback Center-Cut Sirloin w/ sautéed mushrooms & plain sweet potato

PF CHANG’S:

Buddha’s Feast (order it steamed and ask for brown rice on the side)

WENDY’S

Harvest Chicken Salad (Half Size) & Small Chili

DAIRY QUEEN:

Grilled Chicken BLT Salad

CHICK-FIL-A:

8 piece Grilled Chicken Nuggets (w/ BBQ Dipping Sauce)
Superfood Side Salad
Grilled Chicken Cool Wrap
Grilled Market Salad (easy on the dressing to avoid sugar) 

CHILI’S:

Guiltless Grill Menu
Mango Chili Chicken
Margarita Chicken

(lots of sodium)

PANERA BREAD:

Half Spicy Thai Salad w/ Chicken
Half Turkey Sandwich

JIMMY JOHN’S:

Club LULU Unwich (It’s the #16 wrapped in lettuce instead of bread, avoid dressings and add more veggies for more flavor)

CHIPOTLE:

Chicken Salad w/ black beans, grilled veggies, and extra salsa (ask for 1/2 scoop guac, not full scoop)

Rice + meat + veggie bowl

IN-N-OUT:

Protein-style hamburger w/ onions & french fries (this should be a once in a while, not a regular thing) 

APPLEBEE’S

Choose from the Higher Fare Menu - I recommend the Pepper-Crusted Sirloin and Whole Grains. Keep in mind these meals have a ton of sodium
